Julien Herger was born in 1987 in Geneva, and is currently established in Montreal.
He graduated with honors from photography school in 2019, and won the M5 Award the same year with his series Idols.
Inspired by popular cultures and diversity, his personal work engages an approach of the portraiture halfway between documentary and fashion.
In April 2021 he launched KH-institute, a photography studio based in Montreal, in collaboration with friend and photographer Kano Kano.
